We were deeply saddened by the news that Debora Felman had passed away.
On behalf of our staff and management we extend heartfelt condolences to her family and many friends.
Debora worked as a Counsellor with Liverpool Women’s Health Centre for nearly twenty years. A registered Psychologist, Debora was highly qualified and extremely committed to improving women’s lives through her role as a therapist.
Debora identified as a woman with disability and was a strong advocate and adviser on issues of access and equity throughout her career. Despite, the overall difficulty in daily life that Debora faced as a consequence of disability, she rarely complained and most often would be seen to rise above the adversity. We could all take a leaf from her book.
As a CALD woman, Debora was acutely aware of issues facing women from non-English speaking backgrounds, particularly, those of the Spanish speaking community. She worked tirelessly and without judgement to help anyone in need.
Demonstrating the greatest of resilience, Debora was admired for her always positive outlook on life. She was caring, compassionate and adored by many.
Fondly remembered, forevermore.
